Duties
- Monitor premises through CCTV surveillance systems to detect suspicious activity and ensure safety protocols are followed
- Control access points by verifying credentials of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors to prevent unauthorized entry
- Conduct regular patrols around the facility to identify potential security risks or hazards and respond promptly to incidents
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by observing for theft or vandalism and reporting any suspicious behavior
- Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency responders during incidents or emergencies as needed
- Complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and security documentation accurately and promptly
- Perform routine inspections of security equipment such as CCTV cameras, alarms, and fencing to ensure operational readiness
Skills
- Strong understanding of law enforcement principles and procedures for maintaining public safety
- Proficiency in surveillance technology, including CCTV systems and monitoring software
- Excellent observational skills with keen attention to detail during patrols and inspections
- Ability to respond swiftly and effectively in emergency situations or security breaches
- Good communication skills for clear reporting and coordination with team members and authorities
- Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or loss prevention is highly desirable
- Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols relevant to security operations
