Maintaining a dedicated and skilled team has allowed us to successfully execute highly complex projects, some involving isolation, bypass pumping, dewatering, phased construction, technical tie-ins, and difficult access.
We are currently looking for a Pipe Layer with experience in all types of utility construction and installations; sanitary, storm, water, communications, and hydro.
About the Role
As a Pipe Layer, you’ll play a key role in the installation of underground utilities on a variety of civil construction projects, including sanitary, storm, water, communications, and hydro. Reporting to the Site Foreman, you’ll work closely with the crew to safely and efficiently deliver high-quality work.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Work with the Foreman and crew to interpret drawings and specifications
- Participate in FLHAs and toolbox meetings
- Perform work safely and actively promote a positive safety culture
- Use pipe lasers, grade rods, and other survey equipment
- Install storm and sanitary sewer to line and grade
- Install manholes, catch basins, and lawn basins
- Install watermain, valves, fittings, and hydrants
- Install electrical and communications infrastructure
- Cut and bevel pipe as required
- Assemble and install trench shielding and shoring
- Operate and work around excavation and compaction equipment
- Maintain company tools and prepare for upcoming work
- Perform general labour duties as required
What You Bring
- Minimum 3 years of civil pipe-laying experience
- Strong understanding of industry-standard safe work practices, especially around trenches and heavy equipment
- Solid knowledge of sewer, water, and communications pipe systems and fittings
- Reliable, dependable, with a strong attendance record
- Physically capable of performing demanding work in all weather conditions
- Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- High attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
- Willingness to assist other roles on the project when needed
- Commitment to following the company’s Health & Safety Program
- Valid BC driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Willingness to work out of town when required
