As we continue to grow of our International Tax practice, we have an exciting career opportunity for an experienced and dynamic Senior Manager, International Tax in Toronto. This position offers the opportunity for a leadership role in expanding the International Tax practice.
As Senior Manager, International Tax you will have the opportunity to work with a dedicated team of tax specialists around the globe, advising multinational organizations to address a variety of cross-border tax issues, develop tax planning strategies, and where you will use your expertise to deliver a personalized approach to client’s business by providing practical cross border tax advisory and consulting services that are unique to their business, while helping organizations navigate through the complexities of Corporate Canadian Inbound and Outbound strategic investments.
As a Senior Manager, International Tax your responsibilities will include:
- Advising foreign entities in respect to Canadian income tax implications (inbound), including assisting with structuring their Canadian operations, carrying out tax due diligence assignments with respect to the acquisition of Canadian target entities.
- Assisting our outbound international tax colleagues on tax implications of cross-border activities and investments, with particular focus on advising Canadian residents in respect of activities and/or investments abroad
- Assisting the team to review foreign affiliate surplus computations, FAPI calculations and T1134 information
- Advising on tax implications of cross-border activities and investments, with particular focus on advising Canadian residents in respect of activities and/or investments abroad
- Researching cross-border issues
- Modelling various international structures
- Oversee compliance and tax-planning responsibilities for federal and individual clients, review complex tax research and analysis on a wide range of tax issues related to business transactions for a variety of entities and their affiliates.
- Working with our colleagues around the globe to develop strategies that allow multinational organizations to reduce their worldwide effective tax rate
- Project planning and management of engagement teams
- Developing and maintaining client relationships
- Actively participate in business development efforts to include working collaboratively with senior leadership, partners and marketing professionals to target and build relationships with client prospects
- Coaching staff and play an active role in their professional development to create good team dynamics and cohesion and collaboration

Experience:
- 5+ years of experience working in Tax, with a minimum 1 year of International Corporate Tax experience with a professional services firm or multinational corporation with significant foreign affiliates or a combination of tax authority and professional services experience
- Significant tax planning and compliance experience including an in-depth understanding of Canadian Corporate taxation matters including inbound international tax services
- Comprehensive knowledge of Canadian corporate income tax with strong working knowledge of Canadian international tax rules
Education:
Completion of a Bachelor’s or advanced level degree: Masters of Taxation or In-Depth Tax courses required and professional accounting designation (CPA) or Member of the Bar

We benchmark regularly across a wide spectrum of roles, industries, sectors, and levels to ensure our ranges are both competitive and current. But we don’t stop there. We also consider the unique strengths, experiences, and impact each individual brings to the table. Our salary ranges are reviewed annually, and where you land within the range depends on a mix of factors—your background, your skills, and how your contributions align with internal equity. To help start the conversation, the current salary range for this role is $128,000–$178,000 in Mississauga. If the role is available in other locations, the range may differ to reflect local market factors.
