Overview
We are seeking a motivated Glass Installer Helper to join our construction team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the building and installation industry. The ideal candidate will assist with various tasks related to glass installation and other construction projects, supporting skilled tradespeople in delivering high-quality work. Prior experience is not required, but familiarity with hand tools and basic construction concepts is a plus. This role is essential for ensuring efficient project completion and maintaining safety standards on site.
Duties
- Assist with the installation of glass panels, and related materials following project schematics and blueprints
- Use hand tools such as saws, drills, and caulking guns to support installation processes
- Prepare work areas by measuring, cutting, and fitting materials according to specifications
- Support skilled workers with tasks involving carpentry, plumbing, or construction painting as needed
- Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to ensure accurate placement of glass components
- Apply caulking and sealants to secure installations and prevent leaks
- Help with restoration projects and flooring or tile laying tasks when required
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Assist in the transportation and handling of glass materials safely
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and construction practices preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn new skills in carpentry, caulking, welding, or flooring installation
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods during work shifts
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment
- Prior experience in construction, restoration, or related fields such as plumbing or tile laying is advantageous but not mandatory
- Reliable transportation to job sites; valid driver’s license is preferred
