Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Production Technician with expertise in printing plate mounting for flexographic printing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately mounting printing plates onto cylinders, preparing jobs for production, and ensuring print quality and registration meet customer specifications.
Responsibilities
- Mount flexographic printing plates onto print cylinders according to job specifications.
- Verify plate positioning, registration, and alignment before production.
- Inspect printing plates for damage or defects before mounting.
- Prepare sleeves, cylinders, tapes, and other materials required for mounting.
- Assist press operators during job changeovers and production setup.
- Maintain plate inventory and organize printing plates for future use.
- Clean and maintain mounting equipment and work area.
- Follow production schedules to ensure jobs are completed on time.
- Maintain accurate production records.
- Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in flexographic printing or printing plate mounting.
- Experience mounting plates for flexible packaging or blown film printing is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to read job tickets and production specifications.
- Knowledge of printing registration and print quality standards.
- Good mechanical aptitude and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- Day, Afternoon, or Night shifts available based on production requirements.
- Overtime may be required.
