Job Summary
The Holiday Inn Oakville @ Bronte is seeking an experienced and service-driven Lead Banquet Server to support the successful execution of meetings and events. This role requires a flexible schedule, including early morning starts (as early as 6:00 AM), evenings, and weekends.
The Lead Banquet Server plays a key role in delivering seamless banquet service while upholding brand standards. This position is responsible for overseeing event setup and service execution, while acting as the primary point of contact for event hosts to ensure a smooth and professional experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the setup and execution of banquet events in accordance with hotel and brand standards
- Ensure proper setup of buffets, meeting rooms, and table settings, with a strong attention to detail and presentation
- Welcome and connect with event hosts upon arrival, acting as their main point of contact throughout the event
- Monitor and maintain all beverage stations, ensuring coffee, hot water, and other offerings are consistently replenished
- Support the team during service while maintaining organization and flow of the event
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all banquet spaces before, during, and after events
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a lead banquet server or similar role
- Strong understanding of banquet service standards, room setups, and buffet presentation
- Professional, polished, and guest-focused approach
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of events from start to finish
- Keen attention to detail and ability to anticipate guest and client needs
- Flexible availability, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
Compensation
- Expected Wage: $18.00 to $19.00 per hour
