The Coco Cafe is looking for a part time barista/cashier to join our fun and inclusive team. This is a daytime position that includes weekend daytime work, in a positive and energetic environment that celebrates unique abilities of each individual.
The Coco Cafe is unique one-of-a kind cafe and food business with a special mission of providing employment, training and socialization opportunities for people with developmental disabilities. The right candidate will be able to work alongside individuals with diverse abilities.
Responsibilities:- Greet customers as they approach the counter- Take customer orders and prepare coffee, tea, and other beverages- Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions- Keep the work area clean and organized- Stock supplies as needed- Assist with dishwashing- Follow health and safety guidelines for food handling
Qualifications:- Previous experience in the food industry is preferred, but we're willing to train the right candidate - Ability to handle cash transactions accurately- Basic math skills are required- Knowledge of retail math is a plus- Ability to stand for long periods of time while performing job duties- Excellent customer service skills are essential
