Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will operate and program various CNC machinery, including CNC lathes and milling machines, to produce precision components. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency in blueprint reading, and experience with CAD and SolidWorks. The CNC Machinist will ensure high-quality production standards are met through meticulous machining, quality control, and adherence to safety protocols. Candidates with experience in CNC programming, Fanuc controls, and manufacturing processes are highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and program CNC machines such as CNC milling machines and CNC lathes to produce parts according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models to determine machining requirements.
- Utilize CNC programming skills to create or modify programs for efficient production runs.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot issues using mechanical knowledge and hand tools.
- Conduct quality control inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools to ensure parts meet strict tolerances.
- Operate auxiliary equipment such as press brake machines and forklifts when necessary for material handling or fabrication tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety standards.
- Assist in assembly, packaging, or warehouse activities as needed to support production flow.
- Follow safety procedures related to welding, machine operation, and warehouse safety protocols.
Experience
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or similar equipment.
- Knowledge of Fanuc controls and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks for design interpretation and programming support.
- Experience with blueprint reading, quality control procedures, and mechanical assembly.
- Ability to use hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measurement instruments effectively.
- Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience is advantageous.
- Skills in welding, press brake operation, forklift operation, and basic math are considered a plus.
- Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling setups, and safety standards within a manufacturing environment.
