Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Stone Fabricator Apprentice to join our team. This is an entry-level opportunity for someone interested in learning the stone fabrication trade while working alongside experienced fabricators and installers. The apprentice will gain hands-on experience cutting, polishing, shaping, and preparing granite, quartz, and other stone products for residential and commercial projects.
Responsibility
- Assist in measuring, cutting, shaping, and finishing natural and engineered stone materials using hand tools and power tools
- Learn to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and other machinery safely and effectively
- Support fabrication processes including assembly, polishing, and installation preparation
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards
- Follow detailed instructions from supervisors to ensure precision and quality in all tasks
- Participate in the setup and breakdown of fabrication stations and work zones
- Support warehouse operations including material handling and inventory management
Requirements
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in a physically demanding environment
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
- Basic mechanical aptitude is an asset
- Experience with construction, woodworking, or trades is helpful but not required
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Experience or familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation
- Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety standards and quality workmanship
