Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care while ensuring accurate specimen collection and handling.
What will you be doing?
- Perform venipuncture and blood collection with accuracy and care
- Conduct basic patient intake and verify patient information
- Manage administrative tasks including documentation and record-keeping
- Ensure proper specimen labeling, handling, and processing
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Follow all clinical protocols and safety standards
Must haves:
- Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Hospital experience in an acute care setting required.
- GCP (Good Clinical Practice) certification completed.
- Health 5 certification completed.
- Phlebotomy/blood draw experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to balance patient care and administrative responsibilities.
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
