Join East Penn Canada’s Master Data team and play a critical role in maintaining the systems and information that support our operations, customers, and products. We are seeking a highly organized and analytical professional who enjoys working with data, collaborating across multiple departments, and ensuring information is accurate, compliant, and up to date.
As a Master Data & Label Coordinator, you will be responsible for maintaining East Penn Canada’s battery label databases, administering customer portal data, and supporting the integrity of master data in our EAP system and all other assigned applications. Working closely with teams across Sales, Finance, Procurement, Inventory, Billing, and Operations, you will help ensure accurate product, customer, vendor, and pricing information while supporting critical labelling requirements and regulatory updates. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in precision, enjoys problem-solving, and thrives in a structured, process-driven environment.
Please note that this is a 100% in-office position, working out of East Penn Canada’s Head Office location in Courtice, ON.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain the East Penn Canada battery label guide, ensuring all labeling instructions, specifications, and images remain accurate and up to date
- Investigate and resolve labeling discrepancies, updating databases and guides as required
- Manage and implement major label revisions, including regulatory updates, branding changes, and customer-specific requirements
- Create and maintain customer-specific databases in East Penn’s “Label View” application and ensure all specifications remain current and accurate
- Develop and maintain specification sheets and application guides for assigned customers.
- Manage customer portal administration, including access requests, new part additions, pricing updates, account management, and order-related inquiries.
- Maintain accurate master data records within SAP, including materials, bill of materials, classifications, pricing, vendors, customers, and related master data objects.
- Collaborate with Inventory, Sales, Finance, Procurement, Billing, and other business units to coordinate and implement master data changes
- Review, validate, and process requests to create, modify, activate, block, or otherwise maintain master data records
- Analyze data requests to ensure compliance with established business processes and system requirements
- Participate in data integrity audits and cleansing initiatives to improve the quality and consistency of master data
- Identify potential cross-data issues, recommend solutions, and work with team members to resolve discrepancies
- Provide support and backup coverage to other Master Data team members when required
- Contribute to the continuous improvement, documentation, and review of master data procedures and work processes
- Promote East Penn Canada’s commitment to Customer Experience Excellence and Occupational Health and Safety in all aspects of the role
Experience, Skills, and Competencies
You will receive comprehensive training on our systems and processes, but a strong foundation and background in the following will set you up for success:
- 2+ years of experience in a master data, administrative, customer support, ERP, automotive or related business environment preferred
- Experience working within an ERP environment, with SAP experience considered a strong asset
- Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook
- Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining data accuracy and integrity
- Highly organized, methodical, and process-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify discrepancies, investigate root causes, and recommend solutions
- Ability to quality-check large volumes of information and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments
- Self-motivated and capable of working both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Strong process discipline and commitment to following established procedures and controls
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset
