Responsibilities
- Measure and cut roofing materials using hand tools such as hammers, saws, and chisels to ensure precise fitting.
- Install shingles, tiles, or other roofing materials following blueprints and project specifications.
- Prepare roof surfaces by cleaning, removing old materials, and applying necessary caulking or sealants for optimal adhesion.
- Use heavy lifting techniques to move bundles of shingles or other materials safely onto roofs or scaffolding.
- Read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings to determine layout and material requirements.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure safety protocols are followed during all phases of roofing installation.
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the project to ensure adherence to safety standards and craftsmanship excellence.
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, utility knives, levels, and caulking guns.
- Construction experience with a focus on roofing or related trades.
- Strong carpentry skills for framing, cutting, and fitting roofing components.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and translate them into actionable steps on-site.
- Physical strength for heavy lifting and sustained outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- Handyman experience is a plus for troubleshooting unexpected issues during installation.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to working at heights and using power tools.

Pay: $26.00-$38.86 per week
