Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Landscape Construction Foreman/woman to lead and oversee landscape projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of horticulture and construction practices, and the ability to manage a team effectively. This role involves coordinating various aspects of landscape installation, ensuring quality workmanship, and maintaining safety standards on-site. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, including retaining walls, fences, paving stones, drainage systems, plants and planting contributing to the beautification and functionality of outdoor spaces. Experience with machinery and tools is a must.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate landscape construction crews to ensure timely and efficient project completion
- Oversee installation of hardscapes, and other landscape features
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company standards
- Manage project materials, equipment, and resources to optimize workflow
- Provide guidance and training to team members on horticultural practices, construction techniques, and safety procedures
- Communicate with clients, suppliers, and management to ensure project specifications are met
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work
- Troubleshoot issues related to landscaping, irrigation, or construction as they arise
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in landscape construction or related field
- Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, gardening techniques, horticulture principles, and landscape maintenance
- Hands-on experience with construction activities such as grading, planting, hardscaping, and site preparation
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and direct a team effectively
- Familiarity with safety protocols in outdoor construction environments
- Prior experience managing multiple projects simultaneously is preferred
