Job Summary
Global Electric Ltd. is seeking a reliable, motivated individual to join our team as a Labourer / Shop & Field Support Technician. This role involves a mix of shop duties, yard organization, equipment handling, and supporting field crews. The ideal candidate is self-sufficient, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently.
Responsibilities & Requirements
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to commute to the shop daily
- Safely operate company vehicles and demonstrate the ability to haul and back up trailers
- Work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision
- Load, unload, and handle materials safely (up to 50 lbs)
- Maintain a clean, organized shop, yard, and material storage areas
- Ensure tools, equipment, and materials are properly tracked and stored
- Quickly learn new tasks and retain information for day-to-day operations
- Perform minor maintenance and repairs on vehicles and trailers (e.g., lights, fluids, batteries, tire changes)
- Assist with general labour duties and support field crews as required
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and take pride in quality of work
Qualifications
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license (clean abstract considered an asset)
- Experience with trailers, equipment handling, or general labour preferred
- Mechanical aptitude (basic vehicle/trailer maintenance skills)
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
