We are excited to be recruiting for an Evening Line Cook at SMITH Restaurant, within our amazing property, Inn at the Forks.
Inn at the Forks is a sleek and stylish hotel set in The Forks historic site with guest rooms that feature a modern design, and some suites have waterfront views. SMITH is a contemporary restaurant featuring locally sourced ingredients, and Riverstone Spa is a full-service spa, both located within the hotel.
Job Summary:
Join the Evening Shift culinary team at SMITH Restaurant as a Line Cook and be part of a refined, fast-paced fine dining environment focused on exceptional food, precision, and outstanding guest experiences. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for executing elevated culinary preparations, maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation, and working collaboratively with the culinary team to deliver thoughtfully crafted dishes that reflect the restaurant’s commitment to excellence.
You will bring strong culinary skills, attention to detail, and a passion for creating memorable dining experiences through exceptional cuisine and flawless execution.
Duties:
· Execute High-Quality Food Preparation & Cooking
o Prepare and cook menu items to exact specifications, following recipes, plating standards, and chef direction while maintaining consistency, flavour, and presentation.
· Maintain Exceptional Food Quality & Presentation
o Ensure every dish leaving the kitchen meets fine dining standards for appearance, temperature, portion control, and overall guest experience.
· Manage Assigned Kitchen Station
o Take ownership of a designated station including preparation, organization, cleanliness, and readiness throughout service.
· Collaborate with the Culinary Team During Service
o Communicate effectively with chefs and fellow cooks to execute timely, coordinated service while adapting to changing priorities and guest needs.
· Uphold Food Safety, Sanitation & Kitchen Standards
o Follow all food handling, storage, sanitation, and safety procedures while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient workstation.
What you bring to the table:
1. At least 2 years of direct culinary experience in a fast-paced environment
2. A positive and hardworking attitude
3. Ability to effectively communicate with team members.
4. The ability to stay focused in a high volume, fast-paced industry and ensure accuracy and procedures are followed.

Pay: $17.00-$18.00 per hour
