Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated HCA/RCA professionals to provide high-quality care/personal assisting in home care settings.
*** HCA/RCA Care Aide MUST HAVE valid driver's license and a personal vehicle.
***Applicant must be willing to travel to nearby communities for clients (Langley, Burnaby, Coquitlam, White Rock, Cloverdale, Surrey, etc)
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance
- Transporting clients to appointments, grocery stores, events, etc
- Administer medications following prescribed protocols and document accordingly (with medication administration certificate)
- Meal preperation, feeding
- Cleaning client's home as requested
- Monitor residents’ health status and report any changes to healthcare professionals/supervisor
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a caring environment
- Maintain cleanliness of resident areas and assist with light housekeeping tasks including laundry
- Support residents with dementia or other cognitive impairments through specialized caregiving techniques
- Work collaboratively with nursing staff and other healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Assist with transfers to ensure safety for both residents and staff
Experience
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care environments preferred
- Knowledge of patient care procedures including medication administration and dementia care techniques
- Experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or hospice patients is advantageous
- Previous caregiving or nursing experience is highly desirable
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as heavy lifting and long periods of standing or walking
- Strong communication skills and compassionate nature are essential for success in this role
Pay: $21.20-$30.00 per hour
