Overview
Stance is seeking a CNC Programmer to join the team in Stratford, ON. This role is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations through the setup, programming, and optimization of CNC machines. This role ensures the efficient production of high-quality wood components by developing efficient processes, troubleshooting performance issues, and implementing process improvements. The CNC Programmer contributes to maintaining production standards, meeting specified run times, and upholding quality and safety requirements.
Responsibilities
- 3-5 years of experience working as CNC Programmer required
- Knowledge of reading and interpreting Engineering drawings
- Strong ability to work independently and problem solve
- Maintains a high level of attention to detail when developing and reviewing CNC programs ensuring precision in toolpaths, dimensions, and tolerances
- Ability to repetitively lift up to 50lbs
- Creo, dxf files, AlphaCAM, plotting tool paths, experience with other software would be an asset
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM software is an asset
- Degree or Diploma in Advanced CNC Manufacturing, Mechanical Technician CNC, or Woodworking Technician Diploma an asset
Experience
- Perform initial setup and programming of CNC router
- Efficient production of quality pieces by completing in-process and final checks on first off parts
- Ensure all manufacturing tasks are completed in accordance with specified run times
- Optimize material yield through efficient nesting strategies to reduce waste
- Edit and adjust programs as necessary to adjust and/or correct machine performance
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make modifications as required
