Full-time arborist assistant required. Ideally the successful candidate will have at least 1 year of previous experience in the tree care industry (an asset but not required), chainsaw experience, be physically fit, self motivated and be willing to work in all but the worst weather conditions.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
· Dragging branches and loading them into a trailer
· Racking yard debris and general yard clean up from trees on site
· Loading and moving logs
· Assisting and communicating with arborist while they are up in the tree
· Chain saw usage mandatory
· Must be able to drive a truck with a trailer
Work conditions are:
· Full time work
· Expected hours are 40 hours a week.
· Must be available Monday to Friday, as well as evenings and on weekends.
· Must have a vehicle to drive to work sites around the city.
· Work is primarily in Edmonton but may include surrounding area(s)
· Steel toe boots and gloves are required.
