Basic Qualifications:
1) Certification as a Journeyman Cabinetmaker
2) Minimum 5 years of experience as a Journeyman Cabinetmaker
Essential Requirements:
1) Must be comfortable with custom cabinet making.
2) Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and cutting lists.
3) Ability to ask questions and communicate easily in a team environment.
4) Solid command of the English language; spoken, written and reading.
5) Must be organized, efficient and accurate in performing the duties and responsibilities of this position.
6) Be proficient in the use of all hand power tools, and basic production equipment, eg. Sliding panel saws, jointer, thickness planer, shaper, drum sander, cut-off saw, Edge sander, Veneer press, dowel insertion machine, Beam saw, and CNC is a bonus.
7) Must have a good working knowledge of different solid wood types, plastic laminates, plywood, particleboard, veneering, and veneered particleboard/MDF.
8) Be able to work well with other employees and participate in training apprentices.
9) Must be able to work in a team environment.
10) Must be able to take constructive criticism positively without ego.
11) Installing experience not a necessity but is positive.
Job Description:
1) Assemble pieces at the workbench by using drawings and cutting lists generated by the office.
2) When necessary and as requested by the Shop Foreman, be willing and able to cut and plane all solid woods and sheet goods, according to cutting lists generated by the office.
3) Be willing and able to perform any other jobs necessary to meet production deadlines as requested by the Shop Foreman.
4) The Cabinetmaker is under the general supervision of the Shop Foreman.
Wage:
This will be determined by experience and will increase if merited with job performance.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
