Overview
We are seeking a certified Exhaust Hood Cleaning Technician to join our professional team. This role involves performing thorough cleaning and maintenance of commercial kitchen exhaust systems to ensure safety, compliance, and optimal operation. The ideal candidate will have experience with facilities maintenance, commercial cleaning, and the use of various tools. Certification in exhaust hood cleaning is required, along with strong communication and time management skills. Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed cleaning of exhaust hoods, ducts, filters, and related components using appropriate tools and techniques
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to disassemble, clean, and reassemble exhaust systems efficiently
- Perform routine inspections to identify potential issues or areas requiring maintenance or repair
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety in all work areas
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain services performed and address any concerns or questions
- Manage time effectively to complete scheduled tasks within designated timeframes
- Ensure heavy lifting of equipment or parts is performed safely following proper procedures
- Document work completed and report any findings or recommendations for further action
Requirements
- Valid certification as an Exhaust Hood Cleaning Technician is mandatory
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance, commercial cleaning, or custodial work preferred
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment necessary for exhaust system maintenance
- Strong customer service skills to interact professionally with clients
- Excellent communication skills for reporting findings and coordinating with team members
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during cleaning operations
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple appointments and deadlines
- Good physical condition with the ability to work in confined spaces and at heights if required
- Reliable transportation and the ability to travel between job sites as needed
Pay: $20.67-$22.75 per hour
