About Hope in the Dark
Hope in the Dark is a Christian charity based in Calgary, Alberta dedicated to transforming the lives of children and their families living in the slums of Bucaramanga and Cartagena, Colombia. Through close collaboration with our Colombian partner organization, we provide spiritual, educational, and practical support that brings light and hope to vulnerable communities. All this with the hope these kids and their families know the immense love of Christ for them.
Our Canadian Operations are anchored by a strong community of churches and individuals. Hope in the Dark has a nimble approach with no formal office, a flexible remote work environment, and opportunity to meet people on their terms. Until recently, the Canadian Operations team was entirely volunteer driven. As the organization has grown and matured over the years, a full-time servant leader is necessary to execute operations for the Canadian arm as we walk shoulder to shoulder with our Colombian partner organization.
