Position
We are a long established pharmacy located in Red Deer, Alberta. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with our Pharmacy Manager to ensure the safe and effective dispensing of medications and provide excellent customer service to our patients.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have/be:
- Ability, or willingness to learn, to work within the full scope of practice
- Experience with Kroll pharmacy software is considered an asset however all required training can be provided if required
- Strong organizational skills and ability to identify priority tasks in their daily work
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficient in reviewing filled prescriptions
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Be able to provide a clear criminal record check
Responsibilities:
- Support the pharmacists
- Accurately process prescription orders and medication refills
- Fully adhere to federal and provincial guidelines and all ACP standards.
- Willingness to assist patients with their medication-related questions
- Perform other duties as assigned.
