Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This role involves preparing ingredients, cooking meals, and ensuring that the kitchen operates efficiently during service. The Line Cook/Prep Cook will work closely with other kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and menu specifications.
- Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace.
- Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations to ensure safe food handling.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages.
- Assist in plating dishes for presentation before serving.
- Participate in cleaning duties at the end of shifts, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude towards collaboration.
