Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant/Receptionist to join our healthcare team. This role is vital in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring smooth clinic operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in hospital or clinical settings, possess strong organizational skills, and be comfortable handling both administrative and clinical duties. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in procedures
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments efficiently
- Collect patient information and update medical records accurately
- Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as taking vital signs and preparing patients for examinations
- Administer medications as directed by physicians, following proper protocols
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment in compliance with health standards
- Handle incoming calls, respond to patient inquiries, and manage correspondence
- Ensure proper documentation of medical procedures and patient interactions using medical terminology
- Support medication administration processes under supervision, ensuring safety and accuracy
Qualifications
- Previous hospital or clinical experience preferred, especially in patient care roles
- Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare protocols
- Experience with medication administration is a plus
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate attitude with excellent interpersonal skills
- Certification as a Medical Assistant or relevant healthcare training is desirable but not mandatory
- Ability to work well within a team and follow detailed instructions
