Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Greenhouse Worker to join our team and contribute to the cultivation and maintenance of our plant collections. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about gardening, horticulture, and landscape maintenance. The Greenhouse Worker will play a vital role in ensuring the healthy growth of plants while providing exceptional service to visitors and customers. Must be able to lift 50lbs, tolerate heat, and all weather conditions
Responsibilities
- Assist with planting, watering, fertilizing, and pruning greenhouse plants to promote healthy growth
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the greenhouse environment
- Support landscape maintenance tasks around the facility, including planting and seasonal adjustments
- Manage retail sales of plants, gardening supplies, and related merchandise using POS systems
- Handle cashiering duties accurately, including cash handling and transaction processing
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about plants, horticulture techniques, and merchandise
- Support e-commerce operations by updating product listings and managing online orders
- Assist with merchandising efforts to display plants and gardening products attractively
- Communicate effectively with team members and visitors in English; multilingual skills are advantageous for broader engagement
Experience
- Prior experience in gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems, retail sales, cashiering, and cash handling is beneficial
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers
- Knowledge of merchandising strategies and e-commerce platforms is a plus
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift moderate loads as needed
