Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Front of House Manager to lead our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves overseeing daily operations, supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, and creating a welcoming environment for guests. Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or hotel management is highly valued, along with familiarity with food preparation, cooking, and POS systems such as Micros POS. The Front of House Manager will play a key role in maintaining the high standards of our establishment and fostering a positive team atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily front-of-house operations to ensure smooth service delivery
- Supervise and manage restaurant staff, including interviewing and training new team members
- Ensure excellent customer service by addressing guest needs and resolving issues promptly
- Manage food handling procedures and uphold food safety standards in compliance with health regulations
- Coordinate food service activities, including serving, food preparation oversight, and kitchen collaboration
- Utilize POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Lead team management efforts to motivate staff, monitor performance, and foster a collaborative environment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area and front-of-house spaces
- Assist with inventory control and ordering supplies as needed
- Uphold hospitality standards consistent with hotel or restaurant industry expectations
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or food service environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team
- Extensive restaurant management background preferred, including experience with food industry operations
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Familiarity with hospitality standards from hotel or barista experience is a plus
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience in restaurant or kitchen management highly desirable
