Position Summary
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading field maintenance operations across our portfolio of living walls, interior plant installations, green roofs, planters, and related green infrastructure systems.
This role combines hands-on field work with team leadership, client communication, scheduling, quality control, and problem-solving. The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee maintenance crews, ensure work is completed safely and efficiently, and uphold the quality standards that New Earth Solutions is known for.
The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, mechanically inclined, and experienced in landscaping, horticulture, facilities maintenance, or construction-related field operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & Operations
- Lead and supervise maintenance technicians and subcontractors
- Coordinate daily schedules, route planning, and project priorities
- Train team members on maintenance procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards
- Conduct site inspections and ensure work is completed to company standards
- Monitor productivity and identify opportunities for process improvements
Green Infrastructure Maintenance
- Oversee maintenance of living walls, interior plantscapes, green roofs, planters, and irrigation systems
- Diagnose and resolve plant health, irrigation, drainage, and system performance issues
- Perform or direct seasonal maintenance activities including pruning, fertilization, replanting, and system adjustments
- Ensure maintenance records and site documentation are completed accurately
Client Relations
- Serve as a primary point of contact for maintenance clients
- Communicate maintenance recommendations and service updates professionally
- Identify opportunities for additional services, upgrades, and recurring maintenance agreements
- Support client retention through exceptional service delivery
Safety & Equipment Management
- Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and regulatory requirements
- Conduct equipment inspections and coordinate repairs when necessary
- Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and maintenance materials
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and professionalism
Compensation & Benefits
- Full-time position
- Hourly wage: $32–$37 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

Skills, Abilities & Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in landscaping, horticulture, facilities maintenance, irrigation, construction, or a related field
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and client service abilities
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently
- Experience with irrigation systems, plant care, or landscape maintenance is an asset
- Comfortable using hand and power tools
- Comfortable working on ladders up to 12 feet in height
- Working at Heights certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
