We have an exciting IMMEDIATE opportunity to join our team as a Junior Supervisor -Heavy Equipment Operations in the Greater Toronto Area.
This is a working supervisor role that combines hands-on support with leadership of field crews on environmental remediation, demolition, reclamation, and heavy civil construction projects.
The successful candidate will be an accomplished heavy equipment operator with advanced proficiency operating excavators, dozers, and wheel loaders, while providing day-to-day supervision to crews to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
What You'll Do
· Lead and supervise field crews and subcontractors.
· Safely operate excavators, dozers, and wheel loaders on active projects.
· Coordinate daily work plans with the Site Superintendent.
· Ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with project specifications.
· Monitor productivity, quality, and equipment utilization.
· Conduct equipment inspections and report maintenance requirements.
· Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
· Complete daily reports, inspections, and production documentation.
· Coach and mentor equipment operators while supporting crew development.
What We're Looking For
· Minimum 5 years of heavy equipment operating experience in demolition, remediation, earthworks, or heavy civil construction.
· Previous experience leading crews as a Supervisor, Foreman, or Lead Hand.
· Advanced operating proficiency with:
o Excavators
o Dozers
o Wheel Loaders
· Strong knowledge of excavation, grading, demolition, and earthmoving operations.
· Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
· Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
· Valid driver's licence.
· Willingness to travel and work at remote project sites as required.
