Job Summary
We are seeking a Gardener with knowledge in maintenance to support our mix of commercial and residential properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in landscape maintenance and plant identification with the skills necessary to care for gardens, lawns, and plants.
This position is Monday to Friday, usually 8:00-4:30. We are looking for individuals to grow with our company like everyone else within our teams. We are looking for individuals (2 positions) with that "Go Getter" attitude and work ethic. You must like working with an awesome team of guys and gals and be ready to hit it rain or shine. Being physically fit and having a good head on your shoulders is key.
Duties
- Planting, watering, fertilizing, and pruning flowers, shrubs, trees, and other plants
- Operating hand tools such as shovels, pruners, rakes, and hoes for landscape tasks
- Using power tools including lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and edgers to maintain lawns and garden beds
- Performing landscape maintenance activities such as mulching, edging, and weed control
- Monitoring plant health and identifying pests or diseases for appropriate action
- Clearing debris and maintaining cleanliness of work areas
- Assisting with seasonal planting and garden design projects as needed
Requirements
- Prior experience with gardening, lawn maintenance and plant trimming
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in landscaping tasks
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and their maintenance is a plus
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending, digging, and standing for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for outdoor work
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license is desirable for transporting equipment or materials when necessary
