We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team! You will be responsible for delivering high quality care to assigned patients, in a COVID positive facility setting. Paradigm Healthcare Services is a one-stop shop providing the full spectrum of healthcare services, such as; PSW, Registered Practical Nurse and Registered Nurse. We provide services in the entire Niagara region and are currently looking for talented, client-focused candidates to join our team!
Responsibilities:
- Provide care with a focus on the resident, while working within your scope of practice, as outlined by the standards of the CNO.
- Always practice the proper Policies and Procedures of Plan A, as well as the partner facilities that we work with.
- Practice effective communication skills between the healthcare team, residents, and their families, to ensure the best possible care.
- Be the primary point of contact during your shift.
- Maintain communication with your team, as you manage, and effectively delegate required tasks.
- Contribute to the development, and implementation of resident Plan of Care, while evaluating its effectiveness.
- Complete medication passes for floor residents, under your charge.
- Routinely carry out other duties, as assigned, and required.
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse License with CNO.
- Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields
- Familiarity with medical tools and equipment
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid CPR Certification.
- Ability to show demonstrated knowledge of wound care, and skin assessment.
- Excellent multi-tasking skills, to help you set priorities and organize work in response to the resident.
- Experience working in Long-Term Care Facilities is preferred.
- Ability to work up to the full scope of practice as per the College of Nurses of Ontario.
