Summary:
Our company is looking for a full-time Class 1 Driver to join our team. Remuda is dedicated to making it easier for contractors and builders in Southern Alberta to source and receive the building materials they need. Reporting directly to the Logistics Coordinator, the Class 1 Driver is a highly valued member of the team. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for delivering products to our customers using the delivery vehicles within our fleet. Our drivers must be friendly, courteous, and observant of all laws while operating a motor vehicle. Additionally, they must be respectful of any rules or regulations expressed by our customers on their own private property. Our drivers must be prepared to provide exceptional customer service, which will exceed our customers’ expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate delivery equipment safely and efficiently, including Class 3 (air) and Class 1 vehicles.
- Maintain a clean driver abstract and conduct daily equipment safety checks.
- Load, transport, and unload materials while ensuring timely deliveries.
- Work a minimum of 40 hours per week, with overtime as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
- Ensure product safety, quality workmanship, and assist with paperwork as required.
- Maintain a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and perform additional duties as assigned.
The Ideal Candidate:
Our ideal candidate for the Class 1 Driver role possesses the following qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of driving experience with Moffett and oversized load experience.
- Valid Class 1 license, air certification, and a clean driver abstract.
- Physically fit to operate equipment and perform manual labor.
- Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and in a team.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, changing environment with proficiency in various equipment.
- Knowledge of Langdon, Chestermere, Strathmore, Calgary, and surrounding areas.
- Self-motivated, energetic, and professional with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Maintain a professional appearance and uphold Remuda’s positive image.
