We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to oversee renovation and construction projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with extensive experience in renovations, framing, concrete forming, finishing, and overall construction management. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, lead by example, and are committed to delivering quality workmanship while ensuring projects remain on schedule and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations on construction and renovation sites.
- Coordinate and supervise employees, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Plan and schedule work to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on time.
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and project documents.
- Monitor project quality and ensure all work meets company standards and applicable building codes.
- Perform and oversee framing, concrete forming, finishing, and other carpentry-related tasks as required.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure safety, cleanliness, and quality control.
- Coordinate material deliveries and manage site logistics.
- Identify and resolve construction challenges while minimizing project delays.
- Communicate project progress with project managers, clients, and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations and company safety policies.
- Maintain accurate daily site reports and project documentation.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of construction and renovation experience, including supervisory or site management responsibilities.
- Strong background in residential and commercial renovations.
- Extensive experience with:
- Wood framing
- Concrete forming
- Interior and exterior finishing
- General carpentry
- Thorough understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and building practices.
- Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and team management abilities.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physical work when required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Red Seal Carpenter certification (asset)
- First Aid certification
- Experience with project management software such as Jobber, Procore, Buildertrend, or similar (asset)
