We are seeking multiple, driven, positive, focused Commodities and Food Service Sales Representativesto join our growing sales team.
In this role, you will be focused on servicing current clients as well as growing your portfolio, working with a variety of high-quality, global seafood commodities. Your expertise will help us promote and move our premium products across continents.
Key Responsibilities:
· Sell and promote global seafood commodities/foodservice, including both wild-caught and farmed finfish and groundfish.
· Manage and negotiate sales contracts taking care with each deal for accuracy ensuring satisfied customers.
· Build, maintain, and expand relationships with existing and new customers, ensuring a strong pipeline of sales opportunities.
· Provide accurate and informed information to ensure customer requirements are being met and provide exceptional customer service.
· Provide top-notch customer service by understanding and meeting client needs.
· The drive to immerse yourself into the seafood industry and understand fishing seasons, quotas, global demand and trends.
Requirements:
· Minimum 5 years of successful sales experience.
· Fluent in written and spoken English (any other languages an asset)
· Experience with commodities and foodservice sales, particularly in the seafood industry, is highly preferred.
· Proven experience closing deals, negotiating contracts and managing relationships driving revenue growth.
· Strong ability to cold call, network, and develop new business connections.
· Knowledge of the seafood industry is an asset, though not required.
· Ability to work at our Victoria office.
Additional Skills:
· Proficiency in Outlook, Gmail, Excel, and other common computer programs.
· Quick learner with good math skills and an understanding of pricing and commodities.
· Effective communication skills and the ability to engage with clients at all levels.
· Strong multitasking and problem-solving abilities.
· Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
· Highly punctual, reliable, and a team player.
· Multilingual is a plus.
