This is a hybrid position, working primarily out of your home office, with regular attendance online during scheduled work hours. You will collaborate with teammates and attend virtual meetings regularly using Zoom, Microsoft Teams. Regular attendance at events, meetings, and other initiatives within our service region will be expected. Access to reliable transportation is required.

Our team members do a lot of cross-functional work, and we would like for our Human Resources & Team Support Generalist to join the team in-person at our core events within the region. This can look like assisting with logistics, registrations, our booth, volunteer management, or speaking to groups of youth as a Career Coach.
Specific Responsibilities – Human Resources
Preparing contracts and agreements, arranging signing, saving to files.
Entering employee information into Wagepoint 2.0
Initiating Record of Employment
Initiating or supporting recruitment of staff and volunteers.
Managing onboarding process for new team members.
Providing guidance around processes and systems for staff and volunteers.
Create, edit, formalize job descriptions for program staff, mentors, etc.
Support special event planning for team, volunteers, or other special recognition.
Create recognition certificates for mentors, students, partners.
Specific Responsibilities – Administrative, Finance & Fund Development
Conduct outreach to identify stakeholder/school board contact information. Set meetings.
Help prepare funding applications for grants and other sources
Tracking funding applications, processes, results.
Assist with gathering of program updates for the monthly ED & Program Report.
Recording minutes and action items at team and board meetings. Distributing agenda and minutes, when applicable.
Research, quotes, comparisons, as required for program or events.
Generating invoice requests to ensure timely invoicing (sent to our accountant).
Contact certain accounts about outstanding receivables.
Monitor internal systems for employee compliance.
Data entry into relationship management software.
Required Skills/Experience
Experience with payroll administration, particularly in Wagepoint.
Experience with creating job posts, screening, interviews, reference checks.
Experience with drafting letters and contracts.
Experience with managing data, especially client files and financial reporting.
Experience with financial calculations and other tracking in excel or sheets.
Experience with using software for electronic signatures.
Ability to identify and implement efficiencies in electronic processes (example: filing, tracking).
Ability to set SMART goals and report on benchmarking and progress, as required.
Must possess the confidence to conduct outreach via phone, social media, video meetings, etc.
Ability to represent the organization with professionalism at all times.
Experience working with youth/students/educators would be considered an asset.

This is a part-time position starting as soon as the suitable candidate is selected.
Salary: $23,000-$36,500 based on 21 or 28 hours per week.
Includes the equivalent of 3 regular work weeks of paid vacation (accrued)/or 5%.
Expected work hours are typically scheduled between 9:00am and 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.
