Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Construction Foremen/Carpenter for institutional, commercial and multifamily construction. The ideal candidate will have ample knowledge with construction management software, blueprint reading, and schematics, with proven supervising experience, and advanced trade knowledge. This role involves ensuring project quality, maintaining safety standards, and coordination skills. This role will report directly to the Site Senior Superintendent.

Responsibilities
- Oversee daily construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, schematics, and safety protocols.
- Review of trade work to ensure it is completed as specified. Convey any conflicts to the management team to obtain solutions. Implement solutions when resolved.
- Team player who respects trade workers of all disciplines and works in a positive team environment to help trades and coworkers succeed in delivering a superior product and to meet schedule commitments.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Conduct quality control inspections to maintain high standards of workmanship and compliance with specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents accurately for project execution.
- Supervise assigned teams, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and company policies
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of project progress, issues, and resolutions. Maintain using project software.
Requirements
- Capable of reading drawings and specifications. Skilled in layout of dimension details, grid lines and bench marks.
- Able to calculate dimensions of various wall types and build ups where multiple building details intersect by knowing assembly dimensions.
- Minimum 5 years of trade experience. Experience includes tool knowledge, layout and when to inquire when unsure of a situation.
- Demonstrated knowledge of quality control procedures and safety standards within the construction industry
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with subcontractors, and team members.
- Supervising experience in a fast-paced construction environment is preferred
- Relevant construction and safety certifications a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40.00-$45.00 per hour
