The Compensation and Benefits team works on providing statistical analysis in reviewing, developing, implementing and delivering compensation & benefits programs for all FNHA staff. The team conducts internal surveys and external surveys on compensation and benefits and assist with analysis and recommendation. To meet the changing operational needs of the team, we are looking for a Total Compensation Specialist to join and support us in this important work!
Title: Total Compensation Specialist
Salary: $76,530 - $95,662- $105,229 per year (pay range explained below)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours, Monday- Friday (core hours- 9:00 am- 3:00 pm)
Location: Coast Salish Territories of Musqueam Nations: Metro Vancouver: Park Royal office – Hybrid – minimum 50% in the offices (Hybrid working is an option in line with FNHA’s flex work policy). Please note, this role will be relocating to our new office building in North Vancouver on Tsleil-Waututh Nation (TWN) land, south of Mount Seymour Parkway in Spring 2027.
About the role
As Total Compensation Specialist, you will provide specialized expertise in research design, development and delivery of compensation and benefits programs and services for all FNHA staff. You will provide statistical analysis in reviewing, developing, implementing and delivering compensation & benefits programs. Additionally, you will participate in documenting, evaluating, grading and archiving jobs. You will conduct internal surveys and participates in external surveys on compensation and benefits and assist with analysis and recommendation.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have/be –
Education
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources and achievement of a CCP,CBP or CEBS designation preferred or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Experience
-
5 to 7 years of compensation and benefits experience performing compensation & benefits analytics, hourly/salaried merit administration in a union and non-union environment plus 2-3 years of progressively responsible experience in analysing benefit and pension programs, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge
-
Demonstrated experience in HRIS applications (People Soft/Oracle) with strong numeric, data manipulation, and spreadsheet skills

Advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Excellent analytical skills to conduct program assessment, market data analysis, job evaluation, and program-related trend analysis and statistics

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.
Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.
The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
