CB Pallet Repair Operator (Night Shift)
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated CB Pallet Repair Technician for the Night Shift to join our manufacturing team. This role involves repairing and refurbishing pallets to ensure they meet quality standards and are ready for shipment. The ideal candidate will have experience with woodworking, machinery, and various hand and power tools, with a strong focus on safety and efficiency. Pay Rate:
$21.00/hour +$1.50 Shift Premium + paid benefits following successful 3-month probationary period.
Shift Schedule
Monday-Sunday: 7:00pm to 7:00am
Employee's Shifts will be on a 2-2-3 schedule. This schedule will consist of 12-hour shifts:
- Employees work two days, then have two days off, then work three days.
- The pattern then flips the next week: two days off, two days on, three days off.
- This creates a biweekly cycle that repeats.
Duties
- Repair and refurbish wooden pallets using woodworking tools, CNC machines, and power tools
- Inspect pallets for damage or defects, ensuring they meet safety and quality standards
- Use reciprocating saw and grinder to cut or remove old and bent nails.
- Removes damaged boards with pry bar/hammer.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and completed pallets throughout the shift
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Follow all safety protocols related to machinery operation, heavy lifting, and warehouse procedures
- Restocks building supplies at the end of shift.
- Performs other duties as required.
Skills
- Experience with woodworking, CNC machining, and assembly processes
- Proficiency with hand tools, electrical and pnematic power tools, and machining equipment
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to pallet construction, repair, and manufacturing processes
- Background in warehouse operations or manufacturing environments preferred
- Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying and flipping of 60-pound pallets
- Ability to twist, bend, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch on a frequent basis
- Knowledge of construction standards and machining techniques beneficial
- Excellent attention to detail for inspection and quality control tasks
- Ability to work independently during night shifts while adhering to safety guidelines
