Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Trumpf Laser Machine Operator to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining Trumpf laser cutting machines while ensuring parts are produced accurately, efficiently, and according to customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Trumpf laser cutting machines.
- Load and unload sheet metal safely and efficiently.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
- Select the correct materials, tooling, and machine settings.
- Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
- Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments.
- Conduct routine maintenance and keep machines clean and organized.
- Identify and troubleshoot minor machine issues.
- Ensure production targets and deadlines are achieved.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
- Work closely with production supervisors and other team members.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience operating Trumpf laser machines.
- Experience working in a sheet metal fabrication environment.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints.
- Knowledge of different sheet metal materials and thicknesses.
- Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to lift materials and stand for extended periods.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift or overhead crane experience is an asset.
- Basic computer skills.
- Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00-$27.00 per hour
