Mountain River Life is a locally owned mountain-inspired apparel and lifestyle brand based in Canmore. Everything we sell is thoughtfully designed by us and inspired by the Canadian Rockies, the places people explore here, and the memories they take home with them.
We’re looking for outgoing, engaging people who genuinely enjoy talking with customers and creating a welcoming atmosphere in the store. A big part of this role is helping visitors find something meaningful to take home with them. Our products are not generic souvenir items. Nearly every collection, colour palette, and design has a story or meaning behind it, and our team plays an important role in helping customers connect with those stories and find pieces that remind them of their time in the mountains.
This is not a sit behind the checkout counter job. Our team is expected to actively greet customers, start conversations, share product stories, and help create an energetic and inviting experience in the store.
No retail experience is necessary. We can teach the operational side of the role. The most important qualities we’re looking for are:
- Outgoing and talkative personality
- Confidence speaking with customers
- Positive energy and enthusiasm
- Reliability and strong work ethic
