HB Cycle is expanding, and we are hiring a Parts Advisor!
After proudly serving the powersports community from our Lindsay location for 37 years, we are opening a second location at 2704 Lakefield Road in Peterborough, Ontario.
Backed by nearly four decades of industry experience, an established customer base, and a strong reputation, our new location will operate as a dedicated BRP dealership supporting Ski-Doo snowmobiles, Sea-Doo personal watercraft, Can-Am ATVs, and Can-Am side-by-sides.
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and knowledgeable Parts Advisor to join our growing team. The successful candidate will assist retail customers, technicians, and other departments with identifying and ordering the correct parts, accessories, riding gear, and apparel.

Duties
- Welcome customers and provide knowledgeable, professional assistance at the parts counter.
- Help customers identify the correct parts, accessories, riding gear, and apparel for their BRP products.
- Respond promptly to parts inquiries in person, by telephone, and through email.
- Use BRP parts catalogues, diagrams, and dealership software to accurately identify components.
- Prepare quotes, invoices, special orders, and parts requests.
- Process retail and internal parts sales accurately.
- Recommend suitable accessories, upgrades, maintenance products, and related items.
- Assist customers with selecting properly fitting helmets, protective equipment, and riding apparel.
- Support service technicians by locating, ordering, and staging the parts required for repair orders.
- Work closely with the Service Manager and Service Advisor to minimize delays and keep repairs moving efficiently.
- Coordinate with the sales department to supply accessories and parts for new-unit deliveries.
- Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities, condition, and accuracy.
- Label, organize, stock, and display parts, accessories, and merchandise.
- Monitor inventory levels and help maintain accurate inventory records.
- Complete regular inventory counts and investigate discrepancies.
- Process returns, warranties, and supplier claims according to dealership and manufacturer procedures.
- Follow up with customers when special-order parts arrive.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional parts counter, showroom, and storage area.
- Stay current on BRP products, accessories, promotions, and parts information.
- Participate in BRP product and parts training as required.
- Assist with dealership events, displays, and seasonal promotions.
- Perform other parts-department duties as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a parts advisor, parts counterperson, retail associate, or customer-service representative is preferred.
- Experience in a powersports, automotive, marine, recreational vehicle, agricultural, or equipment dealership is considered a strong asset.
- Familiarity with Ski-Doo, Sea-Doo, Can-Am ATVs, or Can-Am side-by-sides is an asset.
- BRP product knowledge or previous BRP dealership experience is considered a strong asset.
- Strong customer-service, communication, and sales skills.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand parts diagrams and product applications.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable recommending related products and accessories based on customer needs.
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a busy, seasonal environment.
- Comfortable using computers, email, point-of-sale systems, parts catalogues, and inventory software.
- Able to accurately process transactions and maintain inventory records.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
- Able to work effectively with customers, technicians, and other dealership departments.
- Physically able to lift and move parts, accessories, boxes, and equipment as required.
- Available to work Saturdays and additional hours during peak seasons.
- A valid Ontario driver's license.
