Job Summary
Trade-Crete Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to lead and oversee structural design projects within our civil engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in structural analysis, design, and project management, contributing to innovative and sustainable infrastructure solutions. Duties
- Lead the structural design and analysis of various civil engineering projects, including commercial and industrial developments.
- Design of new buildings and structures as well as structural alterations and additions.
- Analysis of existing structures and building condition assessment reports.
- Act as project manager, structural lead, and designer for structural engineering assignments
- Act as TCL's Prime consultant on a variety of different projects: Industrial, food sector and commercial.
- Attend site visits related to pre-design information gathering, construction and post-construction review.
- Lead and conduct the inspection of existing buildings and other structures to aide the design team in developing assessment reports.
- Provide direction to project team members and support staff through verbal and written instructions.
- Direct CAD team for drawing preparation and review deliverables prior to submission to client
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Junior Engineers and drafters to help enhance the skill set of the group.
- Prepare and review technical reports, tender documents, and cost estimates.
- Complete preliminary site visits and develop proposals for potential project leads. Liaise with clients and other Project Managers under the TMI umbrella to provide timely and competitive pricing on engineering services as mentioned above as well as scaffolding/platform design and engineered crane lift plans
- Conduct business development activities to secure new projects by client liaison and proposal preparation
- Prepare detailed drawings and models using CAD software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Utilize engineering software like Mathcad and Bluebeam for calculations, documentation, and project review.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure timely delivery of high-quality work.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and clients to ensure design specifications meet safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct site visits for inspections and assessments during different project phases.
- Mentor junior engineers and draftspersons to foster professional development within the team.

Requirements
- Proficiency in structural CAD drafting using AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
- 5+ years of structural engineering experience
- Professional Engineer designation
- Experience leading EITs and drafters
- Strong knowledge of construction methods and civil engineering principles.
- Experience with project management tools and techniques to oversee multiple projects effectively.
- Expertise in structural analysis software such as Mathcad.
- Familiarity with Bluebeam for document review and markup processes.
- Excellent drafting skills with an eye for precision and detail.
- Ability to interpret complex technical data and produce comprehensive reports.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Pay: From $105,000.00 per year
