Overview
We are seeking a motivated Carpenter Helper to join our construction team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of carpentry and construction projects. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, reliable, and capable of assisting skilled carpenters with a variety of tasks on-site. Prior experience in construction or woodworking is a plus but not required; training will be provided to develop essential skills.
Duties
- Assist with reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to support project execution
- Support the installation of cabinetry, flooring, tile, siding, and roofing materials
- Aid in concrete forming, rebar installation, and masonry work as needed
- Perform general carpentry tasks such as cutting, measuring, and assembling wood and other materials using hand tools and power tools
- Assist with restoration projects including drywall repair, painting, caulking, and siding application
- Support plumbing and electrical tasks under supervision for small-scale projects
- Help with heavy lifting and material transportation around the job site
- Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment at all times
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and construction methods; experience with woodworking or carpentry is preferred
- Ability to read schematics and blueprints is a plus
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various weather conditions
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail and safety standards
- Handyman experience or familiarity with construction estimating is advantageous
- Valid driver’s license is preferred for site travel or material pickup
- Willingness to learn new skills related to concrete forming, CNC operations, masonry, roofing, plumbing, electrical work, and other trades involved in construction projects

Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
