Balcaen & Sons is seeking a Level 2 or Level 3 Apprentice to join our team as an Apprentice Electrician, as we seek continued growth in the mechanical trades.

Balcaen & Sons has been located at 1392 Pembina Highway since the 1940’s. We are a Fort Garry mainstay and love the community we reside in. Work has changed a lot since things first began for us, but we still call 1392 Pembina home base. Working in a mechanical trades position will take you all over the City to meet the needs of our expansive customer base. Our core business hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday, this position is expected to operate predominantly within this window.
As an Apprentice Electrician, you will display an ability to work well with others in a collaborative manner. The duties of a Apprentice Electrician, include but are not limited to:
· Work alongside journeyperson to wire and finish residential new builds, renovations, or helping with the electrical needs of other divisions within our organization
· Assist with service needs as required
· Assist with shop cleanliness
· Assist parts department when not assigned to electrical work
Requirements
· Registered Level 2 or Level 3 Apprentice
· 2+ years of experience
· Residential new home construction experience considered an asset
· Valid driver’s license
· Personal hand tools, etc.
Pay: $17.50-$32.50 per hour
Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
