Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing various flooring materials, including tile and other surfaces, in residential and commercial settings. This role requires a strong understanding of construction practices, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Prior handyman or carpentry experience is highly valued, along with proficiency in reading blueprints and using hand tools. This position offers an opportunity to develop your skills in flooring installation and construction while contributing to high-quality project outcomes.
Duties
- Measure and prepare work areas for flooring installation according to project specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation
- Use hand tools such as saws, drills, levels, and trowels to install flooring materials including tile, hardwood, or laminate
- Perform tile laying, caulking, and other finishing tasks to ensure a professional appearance
- Assist with surface preparation, including demolition, leveling, and subfloor repairs as needed
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment throughout projects
- Collaborate with team members or clients to ensure project specifications are met efficiently
- Troubleshoot installation issues and adapt techniques accordingly
Qualifications
- Proven experience with flooring installation, tile laying, or related construction work
- Proficiency in using hand tools and basic carpentry skills
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately
- Knowledge of construction safety standards and practices
- Handyman experience or background in carpentry is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in physically demanding environments
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license are advantageous
