Machine Build Coordinator
Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Machine Build Coordinator to join our team in Canada.
Based in Cambridge, Ontario, this role is vital in ensuring the efficient assembly and integration of automated systems that support our clients' manufacturing processes.
Your expertise will help us push the boundaries of industrial automation.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the assembly and installation of machinery according to technical drawings and schematics.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings to ensure precise construction.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize machine configurations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of build processes and modifications.
- Ensure safety standards are adhered to during all phases of machine assembly.
- Support warehouse operations related to machine components and parts.
- Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues during the build process.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in manufacturing or mechanical assembly roles.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and mechanical drawings.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding, and machining.
- Ability to operate forklifts and handle warehouse logistics is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Prior experience with industrial automation projects is preferred.
- Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience working within an industrial automation, manufacturing, or robotics environment.
Education:
- A Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics) is highly advantageous.
- Technical Skills: Strong computer proficiency and familiarity with project management software/tools.
- Blueprint Proficiency: Solid ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and schematics.
- Project Management: Proven track record of tracking milestones, coordinating resources, and managing timelines effectively.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills—someone who can comfortably bridge the communication gap between design engineers and shop floor technicians.
