Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Shift Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our retail environment. This leadership role requires a proactive individual capable of managing team performance, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining store standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and communication skills, along with a background in retail management and team supervision. Bilingual abilities and experience in merchandising, sales management, and administrative functions are highly desirable. As a Shift Supervisor, you will play a vital role in driving store success through effective leadership, strategic planning, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily store operations to ensure smooth functioning during assigned shifts
- Lead, motivate, and manage team members to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer service
- Oversee merchandising activities, including pricing strategies and product placement
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels
- Manage cash handling procedures, POS transactions, and cashiering duties with accuracy
- Assist in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new staff members
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate purchasing to meet store demands
- Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching for team development
- Support marketing initiatives to promote store offerings and enhance community engagement
- Prepare reports related to sales performance, payroll, budgeting, and other administrative tasks
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience within retail or similar customer-focused environments
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
- Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, bookkeeping, and basic math skills
- Experience with merchandising, pricing strategies, sales management, and store management
- Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, training & development processes
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting; strong organizational skills required
- Familiarity with marketing concepts and customer service best practices
- Administrative experience including payroll processing and budgeting is preferred
- Demonstrated negotiation skills and the ability to handle difficult situations tactfully
- High level of professionalism with excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
Pay: $17.60-$23.00 per hour
