Kitchen Team Member (Prep & Dishwashing)Overview
We are looking for a reliable and motivated team member to join our kitchen team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in keeping things clean and organized, and wants to learn more about food preparation in a busy café environment.
The ideal candidate is dependable, eager to learn, and comfortable supporting both kitchen production and cleaning tasks. No advanced culinary experience is required — we are happy to train the right person.
Responsibilities
Kitchen Support & Food Preparation
- Assist with basic food preparation and ingredient organization
- Learn and support the preparation of menu items
- Learn to assemble dishes and fry snacks for customers and for the frozen section
- Restock ingredients and supplies as needed
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods
Dishwashing & Cleaning
- Wash dishes, utensils, trays, and kitchen equipment
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations throughout the shift
- Sweep and mop floors as part of daily closing procedures
- Remove garbage and recycling
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment
Closing Duties
- Assist with end-of-day cleaning and organization
- Ensure equipment, supplies, and workstations are ready for the next day
- Support the team in maintaining company standards and procedures
What We're Looking For
- Reliable and punctual
- Willing to learn and follow instructions
- Comfortable with both food preparation and cleaning responsibilities
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Good attention to detail
- Able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks
Previous kitchen experience is an asset, but not required.
Schedule
Part-time to start, with opportunity to grow into a full-time position.
- Tuesday to Friday: 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm
- Saturday: 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Compensation & Benefits
