Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Manager to lead and oversee the vehicle sales department at our car dealership in Brampton. The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales performance, managing the sales team, maximizing gross profit, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience while maintaining compliance with OMVIC regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and dealership sales targets
- Oversee daily sales operations, including deal structuring, pricing, and approvals
- Train, coach, and develop sales consultants to improve performance and professionalism
- Monitor sales metrics, gross profit, closing ratios, and customer satisfaction scores
- Ensure compliance with OMVIC, dealership policies, and lender requirements
- Work closely with the finance department to maximize profitability and smooth deal flow
- Manage vehicle inventory, pricing strategies, and merchandising
- Handle escalated customer concerns and ensure timely resolution
- Support marketing initiatives and lead management processes
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for all vehicle transactions
- Foster a positive, ethical, and performance-driven sales culture
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of automotive sales experience, with management experience preferred
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Strong knowledge of automotive sales processes, financial products, and lender relationships
- Solid understanding of OMVIC regulations and compliance standards
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Post-secondary education in Business or related field is an asset
