Job Overview
We are ASAP Windows & Doors seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Assembler / Glazing / Casement Assembler to join our manufacturing team. This role involves assembling window and door components, installing glazing, and ensuring quality standards are met. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, experience with hand and power tools, and familiarity with manufacturing or construction environments. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills within a dynamic production setting.
Responsibilities
- Assemble window and door units according to specifications and blueprints
- Install glazing and sealants to ensure proper insulation and durability
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and other machinery safely when required
- Use hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment to complete assembly tasks
- Perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed for custom components
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the assembly process to meet company standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety protocols
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and improve processes
Qualifications
- Proven experience in manufacturing, construction, or warehouse environments preferred
- Assemble vinyl window frames, sashes, and hardware components
- Install glass units into frames (manual or assisted methods)
- Apply sealants, weather stripping, and insulation materials
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment
- Read and interpret production orders, drawings, and specifications
- Inspect components for defects before and after assembly
- Ensure proper alignment, squareness, and sealing of units
- Package finished products safely for shipment
- Maintain clean and organized workstations (5S standards)
- Follow all safety procedures and report hazards immediately
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment
- Experience with welding, assembly, and heavy equipment operation is a plus
- Familiarity with forklift operation is desirable but not mandatory
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, or schematics is advantageous
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow instructions accurately
