Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Carpenter to join our construction and restoration team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in carpentry, concrete finishing, and the use of various hand and power tools. This role involves working on diverse projects including siding, framing, concrete work, and heavy equipment operation. Candidates should be comfortable with heavy lifting and reading schematics or blueprints to ensure precise project execution. Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute construction tasks
- Perform concrete forming, finishing, and related restoration work with precision
- Install siding, framing, and other structural components using hand tools and power tools
- Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently on various job sites
- Use woodworking skills for custom carpentry projects and detailed finish work
- Conduct welding as required for structural support or custom fabrications
- Assist with heavy lifting and material handling to ensure safety and efficiency
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety standards
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within specifications
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction, carpentry, concrete finishing, or related fields
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and use of hand tools and power tools
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively
- Knowledge of siding installation, concrete forming, restoration techniques, and welding preferred
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or working at heights
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety standards
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license is preferred but not mandatory
